In Loving Memory of William "Bill" Fritsch
November 1, 1958 – October 18, 2026
With heavy hearts, the Fritsch's Liberty family shares the passing of William "Bill" James Fritsch, age 67, on October 18, 2026.
Bill was born in Upper Darby and spent his whole life in the area. After graduating from Marple Newtown High School and the Automotive Training Center, he became the third generation of the Fritsch family to run Fritsch's Liberty Auto Service here in Broomall. To Bill, the shop was never just a job. It was a family tradition he was proud to carry on.
Generations of customers knew Bill as an honest, knowledgeable mechanic who could fix just about anything and was always happy to lend a hand. Plenty of folks stopped by the shop just to talk with him, and many of his customers became lifelong friends. He loved his family most of all, especially his son, Vince, and his grandchildren.
Bill's son, Vince, and the Fritsch family will carry the business forward, treating every customer like family, just as Bill always did. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with kind words and memories.
